The Melodot Music Competition provides young musicians with a platform to showcase their talents and gain valuable performance experience. It aims to foster a love for music, encourage continuous improvement, and build long-term confidence in young artists.
The competition is open to piano and string players of all nationalities and ages.

Participants may choose original works from any classical music period (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Contemporary).
Piano solo pieces must be performed from memory; concertos and ensemble pieces may use sheet music.
Arrangements, simplifications, or modernized versions are not accepted.
Videos must be single-camera, unedited, continuous performances clearly showing the performer’s entire body
No speaking or self-introduction is allowed in the video.
Concerto participants must record with a second piano accompaniment; the accompanist’s face must not be visible.
Video files should be in MP4 or MOV format and submitted via the designated Dropbox link.
Videos must be recorded within the specified submission period; late submissions will be disqualified.
Judging will be based on technical proficiency, musical expression, repertoire difficulty, and overall artistry. A comment sheet will also be provided to each participant.
Judging Criteria:
From 95 to 100 (First Absolute Prize)
From 90 to 95: 1st prize
From 80 to 89: 2nd prize
From 70 to 79: 3rd prize(跟评委沟通这个方案)
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded to outstanding participants.
Winners will have the opportunity to perform at a future event at Town Hall Seattle.
Special awards will be given for exceptional artistic performances.
